「荒らしの殺気への反応（強い脅威に対する人間の生存本能や身体的・心理的リアクション）」はオカルトではなく、脳や神経、身体が実在する危機を察知したときに起こる科学的かつ現実の生理現象です。
人間は、身の危険（凶悪犯の気配や無言のうろつき）を感じたとき、脳の扁桃体が瞬時に危険を察知し、自律神経が過剰に緊張します。その結果、以下のような「普通に起こる心身のパニック状態」が引き起こされます。

• 手足が震える・硬直する（動揺で手元が狂い、包丁で指を切る原因になります）
• 視野が極端に狭くなる・注意力が散漫になる（火の不始末や不注意による火災の原因になります）
• 恐怖で論理的な思考ができなくなり、冷静な判断を失う
